How to use SeeVogh application to connect to the Ibergrid Operations Meetings
The free Evogh (EVO) service is now SeeVogh, a payed commercial service. Until December 2012, it was possible to connect to SeeVogh using free EVO accounts. However, the testing period has finished and it is not possible to use the service for free anymore.
Ibergrid NGI has purchased an account to use SeeVogh for organizing the Ibergrid Operations meetings. Only IBERGRID ROD staff are allowed to start meetings and send invitations. Anyone can attend to the meeting if invited without the need to register in SeeVogh.
It is possible to test if the SeeVogh application works correctly in your PC in any time that you need it, for examle after major releases in your PC or for example the first time that you try to attend to the Ibergrid Operations meeting. It is possible to use a room for tests by clicking on the following link, http://seevogh.com/?join=2934773973 . This is a 24/7 test room which is always available for tests. Usual procedure is to join this meeting (no password required) and use Menu->Help->Loopback to make sure that you are getting back your audio and video feeds. The same steps described below can be followed to connect to this room test and check if SeeVogh application works correctly in your PC.
- To connect to the Ibergrid Operations meeting, just open the link provided in the weekly e-mail with the agenda, and submitted to the Ibergrid operations mailing list. The link is similar to this one:
https://seevogh.com/?join=6981394659
As soon as the previous link is opened in the web browser, the following window is loaded. Just hit Attend.
Once the Attend button is pressed, the web browser launches a window (similar to the one showed below) asking for the correct program to open the SeeVogh application. If EVO was working for you before, the correct application should be found automatically, and you just need to confirm it
Seevogh application needs port 36015 opened for outbound connections (thanks to Javier Martin-Caro for this information)
If it is obtained a java error when starting the SeeVogh application, it is necessary to follow the steps from the following link, http://seevogh.com/tech/support/faq/uninstall.html

Once the SeeVogh application is loaded, it asks for a nickname to use during the meeting. Please, provide your Name and between brackets your institution. For example:
- Finally, it is just necessary to enter the password for the meeting provided in the e-mail with the agenda and connection details.
Once the meeting room is loaded, the webcam and microphone are opened by default. Please take in mind that the microphone should be closed to not interfere with current speakers.
It is possible to start a meeting with the microphone and webcam closed by default by selecting it on SeeVogh preferences:

Keep in mind that the first time one uses SeeVogh application, it needs to download several packages, exactly in the same way how EVO used to work. Since this may take some time, please connect five minutes before the meeting.
If you have any doubt please write to the Ibergrid Operations mailing list asking for help
